What is going on in the Islamic World ?.
1.Riots in Iran for freedom and was quelled by the elite guards. It is still simmering and will explode anytime.
2.Riots and overthrow of the rulers in Tunisia.
3.Riots in Yemen.
4.Riots and protests in Egypt and the government has brought in army and cut off all the telecommunications including the internet.
5.Libya's Qadhaffi is trying to put in measures to stop such an uprising in his country, while Morocco also is trying to prevent an uprising.
All this happening due to FACEBOOK and Twitter.
Thanks to the information age the people can organize and protest.
My question is when will this happen in Saudi Arabia ?.

On the side note it is learnt that the PM of Italy - Berulosconi has been maintaining a Harem in Italy. He has a choice of girls from ages of 16 to 30 years. He is paying maintenance and buying gifts to them.

Do you guys really think that riots/ unrest are related to food shortage? I , for one, do not think so. Certainly rising cost of living is important factor but the main factor is unemployment levels and lack of any hope. People in Egypt are rioting as there unemployment rate is almost 40% and hey do not see any improvement in their prospects in future. If higher food prices were to be the reason, MMS and Sonia would have long been sent to wilderness (which would have been good for India). Unfortunately people in Egypt are jumping from frying pan to fire - Muslim Brotherhood would treat them with much more contempt than Hosni Mubarak.

However, the Brotherhood will take advantage of this; its like in Iran - the west pressured Shah of Iran to compromise and then the mullahs took advantage of this.
Really issue is western (secular) way of thinking doesn't work in ROP world.
Its not only Islamic world. Greece/Ireland/France/UK/Belgium/Italy all are having similar issues. This is an effect of inflation & unemployment (which is due to excess money printing in the developed economies). The only difference is: as of now we are witnessing riots in countries where Food consumes a major portion of income. But gradually its spreading like wild-fire, & in a very short time, developed economies will also witness this madness. Wait till Oil reaches 150 or 200$ a barrel, Here in Canada, our grocery bill is hardly 5% to 10% of our income, so it doesn't matter how expensive food becomes, it will still be affordable. So, riots are an act of desperation, & in Islamic countries desperation is already there.
According to today's Toronto Star, food accounts for 17% [on average, yours maybe 5% to 10% since you are probably earning more than average], where as in India its 47% on average. Also the high canadian dollar has shielded consumers so far in Canada
