Liberals are in the sinkhole forever.

Unless Iggy makes way for a more reliable leader. I dont see that happening though.

Harper was in same boat when he was leading Canadian Reform party. Nobody trusted him in the east and Canadian Reform party ran elections in West. He could form a government only after he merged with PC.

this incessant bickering and power mongering by the opposition parties esp. Liberals and NDP is getting tiring and for that specific reason I'm going to vote against them.
fact of the matter is that the PC party is still the single largest party.
also fact is that neither the NDP nor the Liberals have even a hope in hell of getting a full majority, in fact on the contrary, they will probably lose even more seats.
it is unfortunate that they will again go yapping about their favourite topics about health care, seniors benefit, jobs, etc. without having any viable plan.
their plan is simple : just increase taxes and spend the money on more public sector.

another fact of the matter is that Canada has the best Debt-to-GDP ratio among all the developed countries.
and if this govt. is allowed to function, by 2015, it would be the only country that will have a balanced budget.
the NDP and Liberals will simply take the country down the path of Greece, Portugal and Spain.

i do think the govt. is making a mistake by not striking a deal with the Bloc and giving them the $2B they are asking for but the opposition is making a bigger mistake.
the bloc is clear in its objectives : they just want to take more and more concessions and benefits for Quebec and they don't care shit about the rest of the country.
but at least they are clear and have a clear mandate.
the Liberals and NDP on the other hand have a very broad vague and rambling agenda : they want to improve health care, give more money to seniors, improve the economy, yada yada yada.

if they come into power by some misfortune, just wait and watch as your taxes increase at least 10% and no services will improve at all.
watch as the prices rise by at least another 10%.
the budget deficit will be double by 2015.
guaranteed.

Liberal Party is having a huge vacuum in the leadership after the retirement of Paul Martin. Liberal Party was striving for the development of the Ontario. However, today Ontarions are victimized because of the contrary parties at provincial and federal level.
Harper is smart and successful for the development of states with rich Oil resources and aboriginal people as well.
In present scenario I would opt for the tories at provincial and federal level both for the interest of Ontarions.

Here we go, the great Canadian economic recovery is put on full stop, atleast temporarily.
Prepare for some tough times, as portugal just went bankrupt yesterday, & there is uncertainty in Canada.. And US off course, they are still struggling with the debt ceiling, at a time when inflation is taking stronghold.
This inflation genie can be a killer in this economy (as a lot of people do not have enough income).

what do you mean tough times - are all bank closed for next 35 days as there is going to be election, hydro grid will not generate electricity or are you going to stop working as financial advisor?

nothing stops if elections are called....it is all how you preceive it

atleast we know another $300M will be pumped into the economy which were not supposed to be there...

inflation is everywhere in the world.....it will teach how to manage within means...atleast we do not see inflation like India...where takhe ser bhaji aur takhe ser khaja

These nitwit Liberals , are faceless , they are known for taxing the hell out of people and spending like bad gamblers . They executed their own death warrant.

NDP the less said the better

The Conservatives will get a majority government -The economy hasn't collapsed under their watch.

Don't jump on the conclusions yet. Forget about the Conservatives' majority - what if Libs and NDP form the Govt. in common alliance? Standby, as something like this is in the offing.

Nature of the coming elections is pretty much unpredictable, more than ever.

This Harper guy is a thug with an elusive smile that is fake in it's entirety. He is no better than any other party leader. My vote certainly won't go to the Conservatives for a simple reason that Harper acts more like an Autocrat than a democratically chosen PM. Their immigrations policies are less said the better.

This election will unfurl many surprises. Libs will have more than ever issues in their hands, e.g. Parliament prorogation, purchase of fighter jets, immigration policies that are directed more on the white nations(forget about multiculturalism), Oda funding controversy, etc.

So, given the above I don't think they can form majority cometh the elections in May.
