Nintendo 3DS launched this morning in Canada.
I was the first customer in Walmart, Square One this morning. Bought the first Nintendo 3DS sold at Walmart Square One at 7.10 Am.
The price was $ 281 including taxes.
Bought the Star Wars lego game and three other games at $34 plus taxes each.
Experience is outstanding. The 3D content and also the music on starwars is awesome.
My Kid did not sleep overnight waiting for the piece to arrive home. She had marked the calendar with a countdown since the announcement of launch last October 2010.
Worth the wait.
I do hope that they will bring the same technology on a 10" screen in the near future.
Hope the Tsunami in Japan has not destroyed any of the key component factories for this technology.
Buy it for your kids and you will not regret.
Have Fun !,

Just an advice for parents :
Too much exposure to 3D is unhealthy for your child's eyesight and mental health. Viewing 60-90 minute 3D movie once in a month is OK - but constant exposure (while playing 3D games) should be discouraged. If you have the console and the game - ensure that they take a break of 1/2 hr every 1/2 of continuous play.

Don't wait or rely on 'scientific studies' sponsored by those same companies who make this technology - use common sense. Our eyes and brain are trained to respond to 2D pictures and environment since birth. Watching 3D for a few minutes is good for 'entertainment' and thrill - but not for eyes. Even most of the 3D movies are not 3D 100% of the time - only some special effects are in 3D.
