Hi,
Just wanted to ask if shopping in Vancouver is expensive then shopping in Seattle? Toronto has not much to offer and the border states US shopping are great, is the same for Vancouver/Seattle border? We are visiting Vancouver and were thinking whether to go to Seattle for shopping or just concentrate on Vancouver only. Any info is welcome.
Thanks……………Jona
What are you planning to buy?

Clothes(for self and kids), toys, books, home decor etc. We live in Latin America and things are 3-4 times expensive here, we prefer bulk shoppings on our trips to NA or India. For e.g shopping in Miami is expensive then fort lauderdale (40 minutes away), same stores will have discounted prices then Miami...is it same for Vancouver/Seattle? I've been to Toronto and the walmart there was far inferior then walmart of US (its not the price even the quality was different). Vancouver as it is expensive (I'm sure the quality will be good then).
Thanks...............Jona

... it doesn't matter if you shop in USA or Canada. If the concern is strictly price, I'd not bother to corss borders. The only difference, as MorningRain points out, is the quality and I also think variety. USA has many more mid level stores for clothing and a lot lot more variety than Canada. Other than clothes, even electronics are available in larger varities. Like I needed a humidifier for my son and i went to get the VICKS one so that i could add the medicine and i found only one kind here where as in Babies R US in USA, there were 3 kinds.
For Homedecor, I think Home Sense makes much more sense (no pun intended) than some of the American stores.
Have fun and Happy Shopping...
PS: Expensive doesn't always mean good quality....!
