There are many choices available according to one's budget:
Apartments: http://www.gottarent.com/ Some of these are managed by REITs and provide good value. Price range $800-$1,200 per month (1 and 2 bedrooms respectively). Tenants can directly approach the property management offices of the rental apartment buildings.
Condominiums (apartments): Price range $1,200-$1,700 per month, sometimes hydro is extra (1 and 2 bedrooms respectively). Condos offer more amenities, ensuite laundry etc. Any local real estate salesperson (someone like myself) can find them for you. One can also look into the classified ads in local newpapers. Most of the times there are no fees charged from the tenants. Myself and one of my colleagues do almost one rental a week, you can find mississauga square one listings on my website: http://www.realestate-ontario.com/rentmississauga.htm
Basements: $800-$1,200 per month, plus utilities. Best places to find these are local grocery stores' notice boards and local newspapers.
Homes and townhomes (1400-1700 sq ft): Three bedrooms or more. Price range $1,400-$1,700 per month, utilities are extra. Again, a local real estate salesperson can find them for you. One can also look into the classified ads in local newpapers.
CD classified section is another good source. http://canadiandesi.com/posters.php
Happy renting!

why not try scarborough - rent will meet your budget.
Other advantage is TTC is much better than transit in Mississauga

I am planning to move to mississauga soon and would like to know decent / cleaned, appartement around square one area (closed by to indian groceries and restaurants) , I would be very grateful if you guys can suggest me some few of them and the price for one bedroom apt, I would need it for a year till then i will buy a house.
Thanks for the input. waiting for all ideas and suggestions.
As per my opinion with above budget of $900 to $1000, you will not get high-fi apartment in these area.
If you want really nice one than you have to pay around $1175 to $1350 depends on location.
But definately i can suggest for Hillcrist as Go Station and two indian groceries are near.
Hi there:
If you are willing to pay extra, go for condos.
Near Square one , Tridel condos are great, i think in Ovation you dont have to pay for electricity and hydro.
You have library, school everything is close by.
Call this number of : 905 267 0777 or email
Take care
J.
