Is it mandatory to submit the PCC from India when submitting the Permanent Residence application. I read in this forum that we can submit the PCC later.

Since that was little old just wanted to check current rule. I'm in USA for the past 4 years.

I'm planning to get PCC thru Indian embassy and I was told it will take 45 days to get PCC.

What is the advantage in submitting the application form without PCC intially.

Hi,

You can send the application without PCC. After the initial assessment, if you are asked to submit, then you can submit it. The Police clearances are valid for only 6 months.

There is a risk that embassy returns the application as incomplete ... but I have NEVER seen any file returned for that reason. Go ahead and submit it. Get in the queue.

If I send my application today and get my PCC 45 days later.

Do I need to wait for CIC to request me to send PCC?
OR
Can I send PCC as soon as I get.
