You may vote in this federal election if you:

· Are a Canadian citizen

· Will be 18 or older on election day

· Can prove your identity and address (http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=vot&dir=ids&document=index&lang=e)

Registering to vote

If you’re already registered on the voters list, you should have received a personalized voter information card from Elections Canada that directs you where to vote.

If you didn’t receive this card, you will need to register or update your registration information. You can do this at your polling station on election day (http://www.elections.ca/scripts/pss/FindED.aspx?L=e).

Voting at the polls

Find your polling station by:

· Checking your voter information card (http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=res&dir=glo&document=glossaryc&lang=e#v)

· Typing your postal code into our Voter Information Service (http://www.elections.ca/scripts/pss/FindED.aspx?L=e)

Remember to bring identification

When you vote, you must be able to prove your identity and address (http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=vot&dir=ids&document=index&lang=e). Consult the list of ID authorized by Elections Canada (http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=vot&dir=ids&document=index&lang=e#two).
