Many people won't like a firangi's take on India, but I find his article unbiased.

The best sentence in article "In Gurgaon and elsewhere in India, the answer is that growth usually occurs despite the government rather than because of it."
Each and every word in this article is true to it's core. Take it from someone who worked in Gurgaon for 7 years straight, and born and brought up in South Delhi (until immigrated). Tried moving there in 2002 but given the spate of the city infrastructure, dropped out. That was a really good decision by my family.
Although a rich city as pointed out in the article, the infrastructure of Gurgaon is less said the better. It's not uncommon to spend about 20-25 minutes paking in and driving out your car from any Mall's parking lot. Metro Rail has reached it's coridor, but there are no bus links. Everyone that I know who lives in Gurgaon buys own drinking water. As much as the salaries have gone up the roof, the cost of living in this Cyber town/city has also skyrocketed in proportion, due to the private infrastructure.
In my opinion, this city is only good for work and mall-hopping.
