Thanks Portia for the insight and a first hand information.
I am amazed (always) at how people generalize EVERYTHING without knowing the facts. Remember, knowledge is power. And, ignorance is not bliss always.

How did you reach at the above percentage numbers? You seem to know everyone around the SQ. 1 area (I am impressed!). I didn't know the Census results are already out. Please enlighten.

As i mentioned she(my relative) got a job to do for population counting (Census) and for that reason she has to go home by home (which people did not register online) (what i am assuming).
By the way where are you living? if you are living in Mississauga area than i suggest come to square one area particularly in evening time around 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. and see from your own eyes that out 10 people coming out form bldg near square one area and count how many coming out form bldg with Hizab and burkha and you can recognized by faces that people are belongs to south asians.
and one more thing Dear, doesn' matter even percentage is less (for your consideration - count only 20 to 30%) now you are happy.......
question is how they play with Govt policy and our tax money that is more important am i correct??

7 wonders the links you supplied do not prove your point that people on social assistance get 100% dental coverage. Ontario Works is a bigger program than ODSP. The Ontario Works slide show you provided (which is student's work and not an official document) says that children's dental care is covered which is exactly what I said. The mother herself does not get dental coverage beyond some emergency dental which is a discretionary benefit - this means it is up to the municipality whether or not they offer this and many do not.
You're right that ODSP covers dental, the Hospitals Act also covers dental care for people living in hospitals. Severely disabled and/or hospitalized people are not the same as the general population recieving social assistance.
My father is a very honest person with a lifetime of professional experience helping disabled people in Ontario and I truly believe him when he says that ODSP is difficult for many people who do have severe disabilities to get on. In spite of this I'm sure there are scammers just as there are people who file false income tax, false immigration documents, false absolutely everything, but for those who actually have severe disabilities that make them unable to work I don't think these people getting dental coverage is the same as the type of scam the original poster described.
One group that does encourage people on social assistance to claim benefits for special diet and other extras they may not need is Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, the group that has made their point by disrupting meetings at Toronto's City Hall.
http://update.ocap.ca/node/7 Their aim (fighting poverty) interested me because as I mentioned earlier I do think poverty is cyclical and some people are given circumstances that make it hard to learn how to succeed on one's own. After looking into this organization I found their demands to not make much sense. They want to make welfare and ODSP much easier to qualify for, remove the need for medical evidence, and raise the rates by 55 %. It doesn't seem sustainable and sounds like it would invite fraud.
