I am looking for the options to get to Toronto Pearson airport from Markham (16th Ave/9th Line), apart from driving to the airport (which may not work out with civic considering 2 people, 4 check-in bags).

Use Google Maps and select the bus option. There is an express bus service from Richmond hill to Airport (leaves every hour, total 20 minutes ride). If someone can drop you in Richmond hill, it will be easier.

Options which I know from Markham are :

1. Drive on own, or ask friend to drive - NO in your case
2. Rent a bigger car from your area and drop at airport. (taking luggage from car drop area to airport can be a hassle chk that out)
3. Reach till Kennedy subway stn or nearest subway. Take subway till kipling. There is TTC bus (192) every 15 mins from Kipling stn to airport (this is cheapest option 3$s each )
4. Reach Richmond hill center , there is express service from there till airport.
5. Look for the nearest Hotel which runs shuttle service to airport, call them and book a space.

OR BEST IS
6. You got a LIFE TIME CHANCE to ride on LIMO , 71$ from Markham to airport (charges may reach 100 including tip taxes etc)

I think the hotel option seems to be the least bothersome after cab .

Call the hotel .

Take a cab to the hotel .

Take the van / bus from the hotel .
