I am thinking of using the Go Train for work (south to DT Toronto), starting my travel at Richmond Hill Go Station. I called up the customer service centre but they did not have the answer to my question:
What time in the morning does the Go station parking lot generally get filled?
The first train is at 6:25, second at 6:55. There are 1200 parking lots. Does anyone on this forum have experience of using the Go and share the latest time in the morning to have a guaranteed parking spot?
In case one doesn't get a parking spot, what other options do people use? park in a mall nearby?
Also appreciate if anyone can share the same for Aurora Go station.

Cant be able to help you on richmond hill but for Aurora I sometime takes 7.40 and parking is available . Generally i take from king city and parking there is available till 7.20 train on the far corners and after that there is no no guarantee.
Going by Brampton ways, even by 7, there won' t be any good (near to station) slot available. Will end up walking a fair distance. For the Winter months, I generally get a reserved parking spot. $70/month. Its late to get one for Jan now (Application has to be in before Dec 15th, but may be they will do exceptions)
it depends... on a given time, on mondays and fridays the parkings are generally available but same time it will not be avaialable in the midle of week.
solutions (obvious ones!) are - a. take earlier train , b. book for reserved parking c. walk for later trains d. get dropped e. can ocasionally park in malls parking lot and option F is change the job !
btw Happy holidays and park anywhere during these days ! :-)
Thanks everyone. I drove to the RH Go Station and discussed this with a YRT officer on duty. He said that for the 6:25 and 6:55 trains parking is usually guaranteed. After those train times, the parking lot generally gets filled up pretty quick.
