Either pay the fine or shun your recently got license.. simple.

What u dont understand is that mdhillon is partially right.. not having glasses is not going to be accepted as an excuse even in court.

The guy should have been smart enough to carry a spare set in his car. I already do that after an experience of my glasses breaking while driving.

Courts rarely give up on fines, they usually waive demerit points, the guy can contest in court at best.

This is more of a general comment rather than judging the OP

Most GTA drivers especially immigrants are so rude that they think they own the roads and parking lots.. they have no consideration for others, case of point yesterday,

1> i am entering a parking spot and am 90% in and a guy just jumps in between my car and his car and cant wait for me to complete my parking.

2> Another guy in a almost full parking lot is holding the door open and smoking and asking me to ignore him and park my car.

3> A few months back my neighbor honks at me one lane before my house because he jumped into the center left right turn lane a split second before i got in when the car in front of me had halted, After he saw it was his neighbor he didn't even have the decency to apologize. If this was anyone else i would have made him drive behind me at 5 km per hr for 5 min before i let him go..

I hope the cops write out more parking and driving tickets and makes it so hard on their wallets for new drivers that these buffoons cherish their driving privileged.

You guys are trying to be all assuming ............. You have nt seen judgments obviously and are trying to be a little bit too assuming ....

Did you see the RCMP tasered and unaware guy ? And these were the law bearers ...... Did you hear about how a Toronto Police Officer shot a guy who was driving straight at his colleague and he thought that shooting down the guy would be the best thing and he was dragged into court for a lack of training as to not to tell his colleague to move out of the way .............

I will explain my side to the Judge and let him decide ... rather than go by your over assumptions ...........

BTW .. how did you assume that I ve been here for more than 5 years .......... Dude ... you are being over assumptions but you are grossly wrong .. I m sorry to say ...

You may find some things hilarious --- well that's subject to your perception .... but it may not necessarily be correct ....

Why didn't you carry one before the experience ..... Aren't our cases similar and aren't we speaking the same thing ..... ???

For what .... for the above infraction ........... You ve got to be thinking impaired to suggest that ......simple ... :) ............. There are no demerit points even for parking infractions .............. or may be you are trying to create your own driving laws ...much like your assumptions and your own judgments .... Thanks but your advice is neither needed nor worth consideration here .:D

On the contrarary I have different experience... new immigrants drive carefully.
I have fonund the rudest drivers are pickup van and especially toe truck drivers(caucasian). Always think themselves as the king of the road.
