I did my MBA from Queen's Univ and I am quite aware of the student environment here. Firstly Universities vs Colleges, Colleges are not a great place to study. I don't know what are your qualifications and why you want to do this course. Most of the students from India who come here to study in colleges are just doing this because they are not doing well in India and they just want to come to Canada quickly. After coming to Canada they start looking out for jobs part time and they hardly study. So I dont know if you belong to this category. If you are serious, I would not recommend you coming to any of the college. Go to university such as UofT, McMaster, Queens etc. As far as placements is concerned forget it, FORGET IT. There is no concept of placements in Canada. You have to network, market yourself for which education will be just an aid. It ultimately boils down to your experience and skills which will determine whether you can get a job or not. As far as work permit is concerned, with a program in college you will not be eligible for Provincial Nominee program for PR. You can only try under canadian experience class once you have work experience. But this again depends whether you get a job. I have seen students going to other provinces (where PNP program is available) do labour jobs etc. So you decide what is your objective and make a decision.

These short term community college or distance education/ continuing education programs are very good for people already working in similar line ( e.g. who joined right after school in finance field) then looking to upgrade which will positiont hem very well for advancement.

If you are taking this course to enter a workforce, then your earlier education should match this for better results plus networking and persistence is needed.
