Hi everyone
I received the below email from CIC London on Jun 30, 2014.
"This email refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing your application, we require the additional documents and information listed below. Please send clear legible photocopies rather than the original documents unless otherwise specified. If the documents are not written in either English or French, please enclose a certified translation with a photocopy of the original document.
-Medical examinations. The required forms have been issued via email. Please advise us within 5 working days if they have not been received.
-Right of Permanent Residence Fee - $980 CAD Bank draft - The forms of payment accepted by our office in London are listed on our website. Residents of Pakistan: Unlike the Visa Office in Islamabad, we do not accept direct deposit payments to the Standard Chartered Bank, Pakistan.
I’ve done our medicals from Lahore on May 3, 2014 & sent the following documents along with RPRF
• New Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form for the principal applicant
• New Schedule A/Background Declaration form for yourself and each family member over the age of 18 - Please list all personal history (question 8) and addresses (question 12) from the age of 18 to the present date
• New Additional Family Information form IMM5406 for yourself and each family member over the age of 18
• Supplementary Information - Your Travels form
My page on CIC website was updated long ago & is displaying; your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 23, 2012. Is this delay in updating of status normal? What will be next steps & How long will it take remaining process?
Sorry if same question is being asked again and again...there are just so many pages to plough through!!!
There were delays associated with Applications to Immigrate into Canada from time to time. So, I would take that your application has been in their system for quite some period. Not knowing the date of application and which offices it was addressed to, then the AOR, Initial Assessment date, your qualifications and where it was obtained, work experience, whether you have a job offer in Canada etc., you both will have to wait for their Medical Acceptance and the waiver of the Interview and their PP request. Since you have gone through the Medicals, I feel you have past the halfway mark.
Such delays do occur and you will have to take it in stride. Also the change of Political scenery everywhere and the Job placements here at the Canadian end could delay your entry even further as the system is getting geared up for advance placements of New and arriving Immigrants, even before they enter into Canada.
So, knowing that you are way ahead of others in this game, just bear with all of the delays that you encounter and keep track of your application on the CIC website. One thing to remember is the date of your medical, and knowing this date, you will certainly enter into Canada before the expiry date of the same, which is ONE FULL YEAR.
Enjoy your stay where ever you are and prepare well prior to entry to get your qualifications verified, prepare for your driver's test, and start to search for jobs in the field in which you are qualified, prior to entry. After which you can do a search for suitable accommodations where the jobs are available.
Prepare yourself thoroughly in life before you land here in CANADA. It will surely pay you a dividend.
FH.
