Hi
I'd like to know about job prospects and way to achieving PR after studying a 2-year Hospitality Management Diploma in Canada.
My research says that BC, AB, and NS have good prospects for this sector.
PS: I already hold MBA in Finance and International Business.
Thanks!
You can get an entry into Canada as a student for the TWO year Diploma by applying to those Colleges that are RECOGNIZED by the Federal Government and Provincial governments. It becomes mandatory while applying for PR.
What puts you on top of others while applying for a job or even for the PR of Canada, is your work experience and the level at which you performed those operations.
This will also be the case, even after your studies. because the job you enter into should be at a level "O", "A" or "B" of the NOC Job category.
So, what did you do in India (or anywhere else) as an MBA? Did you do your Job at any of these levels in any field there?
Based upon this experience, are you taking the courses here to enhance your knowledge and education? OR is it just to gain entry?
There are other fields associated with the MBA, such as Financial Planners, Insurance Executives etc., who have gained entry into Canada after gaining employment at those high levels in their field and then had the experience, not for studies and education to further their career, but to gain high paying jobs here in Canada. Is this the same in your case?
Without knowing your field of work and your CV, it becomes difficult to channel your studies and thoughts in a coherent manner and will advice you to seek proper career guidance, prior to entering into Canada for higher (Lower) studies.!

Hi
I am working as a Lecturer in an engineering and business college here in India since 3 years.
My first post was about NOC 4011. I researched a lot and found out that I am not eligible to apply as a FSW.
Jobs in India are different from that in Canada. There is a high unemployment rate here. Only few people get jobs which they want.

As a person who has been in India and Canada and who is closely following the happenings in both Canada and India, your statement does not make sense.
India has lot of jobs esp. in the educational sector as lot of colleges are being opened. Most of the professors do 2 jobs there one teaching and the other a side job like brokerage, stock market, agriculture etc...
Canada life is tough. There are no jobs there like before. Mainly labour jobs and IT jobs are only there. Even white people are moving to Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine hat etc... so that they can work in the oil boom towns/ areas.
So think before you speak. Canada is not a land of roses
