HI All intellectuals
i am planning to go for the PMI course .i am a computer engineer and working as a help desk specialist. but i am planning to go for the management course.somebody suggested going for that. to be honest i donot have any experience in this fileld. can somebody please help
1)is it worth going for?
2)what is all about?
3)career prospects?
4)can i go without the pervious experience in the project management?

No you cannot. To appear for the PMp exam you need 4500 hrs of Project Management experience (if you possess a Bachelor Degree) or 7500 hrs if you do not possess a Bachelor Degree.

I cleared my PMP exam today ..the new format question seems to be quite lengthy. I actually preapared seriously for last one month only so quite excited to clear the exam

What kind of a salary range does a PMP give you access to if you're in IT? I know there's a lot of factors at play, however is there a range?

To add to Blue Lobster's question, please let me know what is the success rate or what are the chances of landing a project management job after you get certified IF you were not a project manager(by designation) before?
