Settlement Funds aka Minimum funds aka Proof of funds to be showed to CAD gov. depending on your family size.

This is the bare minimum, if you can bring slightly more than that. But even on the above amount you can easily survive for 8-9 months , even a year maybe , if you live FRUGALY ..& have NO earnings or NO job or NO other income whatsover. It will be enough for ROTI , KAPADA & MAKAAN for approximately a year ..aka FOOD, CLOTHING & SHELTER

I prefer to come to Canada however will keep n try options open for Australia UK
middle east would be the last option...

I 'll suggest (I suggested it few pages back also in this thread ) , people who are aspiring to immigrate to Canada must first assess whether they are eligible to immigrate and what will be there chance to be picked up under express entry. Please note the 2015 onwards immigration laws are not same as it was ., This is no more a first come first serve system. The point system is also changed. max points are 1200 out of which 600 points are for people having job letter or having provincial nomination.
To give example in last 2 months , only applications with points above 800 are picked. Does this ring a bell ? I strongly suggest before raising any expectations among your family or friends , go online and research.

yes. I will second that.
There is no need to be too exited to move to Canada or Australia. Once you pass the points, they will surely give you the visa. It will take time. 6 months or 1 year or 2 years. So you should just let go of all the tension and concentrate on your job. That is what I did. I applied and went to Saudi . In Saudi, I was almost a prisoner. My passport was confisticated and I was not allowed to leave the country. So I forgot about Canada. My employer let me visit india after 31 months and I never came back.

A week after I came to India, I got my interview and medical 2 weeks after that. I was so exited. I packed up my bags and never looked for a job. But my visa came after 11 months. I was even worried if my visa would come as I knew that my medicals will expire in 12 months. I was worried as to what my relatives would say? Would they not say that this fool said that he is going to Canada soon but even after 11 months he had not gone. I lost my employment salary for 11 months and I did nothing in those 11 months except to watch TV and browse on the internet about Canada (2001/02).

So let that not happen to you. Donot worry too much about the visa (it will surely come) but then be prepared of how you will leave the country (your belongings/ your house / your plots etc..)
