Mr Massood,
Could u pl guide me regarding this issue.
Would it be a problem at the port of entry If I carry only 75% of the required funds and declare that the rest 25% of the funds will be brought in when my family arrives with in 3 months.
Kindly advise.
Thanks and regards,
IndiCan
It should work fine. Many did that and it worked.

Hi,
It wont be a problem. Just say that the rest of your money is being transferred within a week once u open a Bank account in Canada.
and it will be fine,
Good Luck,

... but bear in mind that legally you are supposed to bring whole amount. I have never heard anyone having problems because of funds yet ... but you never know.

Hello! Mr. Massood,
Sir, if in the IMM 0008 form if I have mentioned that I have CDN $ 25,000
is it necessary for me to carry the whole amount or is it legally ok to carry the amount required for a family of four?? I could show that for the remaining amount I have assets/ bonds/ shares. Is it ok??
Your advice would be appreciated.
thank you,
sincere regards,
Worship

Can anyone advise if one can open a bank account in Canada in advance prior to arrival and produce that bank statement as proof of funds when arriving?
