Is there any accurate Express Entry Points Calculator available online? I'm unable to find out my score.

--------------------

Here is a web link to a Comprehensive Points Calculator, which you can use to collate the points that you can score for an Express Entry Into Canada.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

The draws are becoming frequent and the scores are getting assessed on a different basis, so, please COMPLETE a rough copy of the Application form, IF you have the required IELTS Score and ready to enter. DOUBLE Check the application and ALL of the Papers that you are going to submit to them for the entry. CHECK ONE MORE TIME prior to applying and always retain a paper copy for yourself.

Good Luck.

The link is available. Copy and Paste.

Hi Full House

Thanks for the reply.

What papers are required for it? Are we supposed to get our education qualifications assessed?
Is there a complete list of documents required available online?

Excuse me for asking so many questions. I hope these answers would help a lot of people.

I will provide you here with a checklist for the Federally Skilled workers' Category. You will get an idea as to what the other systems should call for from this list. It may be similar, but the required details for Canadian Experience class will certianly differ. The reason being they were here in Canada once before, either studying or working or both.

Those who fill in the initial application form will get an INVITATION to fill in a second set of forms to supplement the first. That will ask you for a few of the details that they are looking for.

If you have the IELTS results and if you have prepared yourself for the Police clearance and currently they will even permit you to complete a PRE Medical to enter into Canada and after you read all of the links it will become very clear to you.

Before you know, you will have a visa to enter Canada as a PR. (Within 6 months). So, be prepared to leave once you apply to get in. No more slack after that.

Also look for a JOB on the Government website. If you are a skilled worker, such as hands-on experience or a worked as a grease monkey, you will get in the soonest.

If you have any more questions, please do drop a post under this.

Thank you again Full House! I really appreciate your help.

I have one more question: I have 2 degrees, one master's and one undergraduate. Am I supposed to get both of them assessed?

------

When you claim a credit score for your Education, you will have to assess the HIGHEST degree that you completed in your College. (UNIVERSITY - here in the N.A.Continent) In order to do that, the other degrees will be called for, i.e., the undergraduate degrees etc., will be a part of this assessment. Some evaluating agencies, will call for the marks sheet from you for every quarter or the semester and a few will require them directly from the institutions that you studied. Avoid the ones that want it DIRECTLY from the Universities. It becomes cumbersome and painful and will enter into a lot of delays and expenses to go with it.

Hence I will say it is both of them but as a TOTAL assessment. It calls for both of the degrees and any other if you have them too.

The main reason that I mentioned about the "HANDS ON" experience is that, you will qualify here for a Diploma, immediately and upon arrival or within a few months of arrival and you can obtain a certification also a well-paying job as a TECHNICIAN with a salary running up-wards of $50,000 upon landing. It is all implied and it is for you to gather all such documents while you are there in India or from any other continent, with an Experience letter from the employer or from the head of the departments that you worked there. I want to see everyone landing here in Canada after this express entry into Canada "To start running from the time they land here". It is a standing start like the sprinters do on an 100 meters dash. Remember that there is dignity of labour here in the North American Continent, regardless what you do to make a living. ( I hear very clearly when some one says get off the high horse!!)

I also provided to you ONE link for the jobs in the Government website. You will have to search for it. All you have to do is quote that job as an opening when you apply and I am sure you will obtain your Express entry into Canada based upon such an implied opening or a prearranged job. They go a begging as the demand for the skilled trades are much more so and with a background such as yours should get you in before the year gets over.

Good Luck.

FH.

Thanks for your inspiring words!

These 3 agencies are mentioned on the CIC website :

1. Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
2. International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
3. World Education Services

I went through their websites and found that #2 and #3 ask for documents from the university directly, but there is a confusion about #1 (Comparative Education Service-CES).

CES has mentioned the following for post secondary education:

All final Diplomas
and
Mark sheets for each year of study issued by the State Board of Technical Education

All final or provisional Diplomas/Degree certificates (e.g. Bachelor, Master, Ph.d)
and
Mark sheets for each year of study issued by the university

College-issued mark sheets/result cards will not be accepted unless from an autonomous college.

BUT, I found this written in their FAQs :

What documents do I need in order to apply for an ECA report?

Your application for an educational credential assessment for immigration purposes will require the following:

1. A completed and signed Educational Credential Assessment for Canadian Immigration Programs
2. A completed and signed Designate or Withdraw Representation Third-Party-Release-Information (if applicable)
3. A colour photocopy of your government-issued photo identification showing your date of birth, with official English or French translation (if applicable)
4. A colour photocopy of both sides of the award for each completed (degree, diploma or certificate) in its original language with official English or French translation (if applicable)
5. A colour photocopy of both sides of your academic records (transcripts, statements of marks) for each completed program of study in their original language with official English or French translation (if applicable)
6. Official academic records mailed directly to CES from each educational institution listed on your application package. If your educational institution requires a formal request you can download the Request Official Academic Records to make this arrangement.
7. Full payment of applicable service fees in Canadian dollars.

The 6 point creates a problem here.

Do you have any suggestion?
