Looking for a Range hood that sucks most cooking smell and smoke, any suggestions?I think at least 900 CFM IS needed for a decent performance
900 CFM may be too much for home. I guess Bertazzoni have few models of such high power.
I have Sakura with around 700 CFM and have no issue.

With 900 CFM exhaust fan you will need a "air makeup unit " or otherwise you will run into back draft issues due to negative pressure .
600 CFM is good enough to remove most odors created by our curries .

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
go with Sakura brand...we have at home and no issue at all with Indian cooking..

We simply use Candles with the regular range hood, and while cooking 3 times a day. Also, keep the bedroom doors closed along with the bedroom/clothes closet heat vents. 8 years in the present house and never smelled curry in my or the family's clothes. Once done with cooking, just use the air freshner. Open windows in spring, summer, and fall months.
We also don't keep even casual jackets in the clothes closet right at the foyer.
Don't spend fortune when there's none needed.
