You can ask for the secondary driver to be removed. You need to fill in a form and it has t be signed by both the primary & secondary driver. So as soon our kids go 16 and get the license, the insurance company needs to be updated and start paying the tax... whether they touch the car or not..

You need to call the insurance company and provide the new drivers details. If you do not want to pay additional premium, you can ask the insurance company to exclude the new drivers, by filling in the form.
As an FYI, the additional premium is not much, it's advisable to include the child's name, so they build up their driving history, even if they rarely drive.
