Don't take CD comment seriouselly , as long as you feel good and safe about your investment ... go for it..

Also no need to explain or argue , not many CD's here are business minded and it's hard to explain them ....

No Risk - No Reward ....

In today's time with internet, strong buying/selling platforms, easy way of online promotions & technological tools there is vast opportunity for anyone to start the business and run it successfully with very-very little investment. My suggestions:

1) Register your company. Procure products(one can start with even dollarama items too) and start selling on multiple platforms. You need to explore about the various software that do it easily and and do it in bulk. I have been doing it for more then 10 years and I started with no experience (nada) in this field.

2) If you don't have products or don't want to procure them physically(storage problem etc.) then take distribution of companies which drop ships for you i.e. you take orders and the company will ship it for you in your name/company's name. There are many really good companies which do it very professionally. I did drop shipping in the year 2011-12 successfully and I tried it because of the Canada post strike in the year 2011.

2) Keep your profit margins low and sell in bulk for the turnover and to be competitive worldwide.

3) Involve your family (kids/spouse) in doing the business - use resources- it really helps.

4) For business- Ship your products (eligible products only and of value not more then $200 per parcel) through USPS and not Canada post -- lot of shipping cost difference between USPS & CP and it is very easy to do through USPS.

4) ..and we all know about it.. just apply.. Think beyond and differently than what others are doing around you.

BTW.... Please message me.. If anyone wishes to come to my office (new and from this month only) and wants to know little more about it . Saturdays (between 2 - 4 pm) .

Finally a good post and something worth pursuing. For USPS shipping do you use chitchatexpress, stamps . Com or a similar company. Yes USPS is much cheaper amd faster than CP. CP's shipping times and prices for international shipping are horrendous, with your packages being stuck at the customs, border for a long time.

How exactly are you getting your gem stones from India to Canada ? What are the formalities and technicalities lilke brokerage fees, customs fees, insurance, shipping options ? I have lot of ideas of procuring stuff from China or India, but I have no idea of how to do so.

I am not worried about selling , advertising and marketing in Canada & US. Bringing products here from India /China is the issue. Looks complicated and a big hassle for me. Not sure what the margins are & if its worth it after shipping , customs, taxes, brokerage.

I can meet you in person. Do you need help with your business or will you be guiding me into setting up some small online type ecommerce entrepreneurial business for myself. I am open to both, as I learn the ropes from an expert like you. There is a reason, why you are doing so well and I want to learn, How ??

As mentioned in my original post, I am not looking for much, $ 2,000/month in net profit is more than enough for me. Either helping you in your business (salary) or starting something on my own. It has to be some ecommerce type of thing, to reduce overheads. The days of Bricks & Mortar are long gone. Clicks are now replacing Bricks.
