Any tips and advice in preparing for my job application to an employer in Canada? Anything that would help will be very much appreciated!
Depending upon where you are living, look for an Employment Canada Center, where you can do the search of their data banks and also look at some of he local News Papers and a few of the local job postings there, posted on the bulletin board, to pick a job that you are qualified for and also get some help from the customer service or the supervisor at that location and start preparing a Curriculum Vitae, and a few short resumes for the job postings there to avail an opening that is quick to obtain and fill. (Temporary in nature.) Some Doctors and Engineers took temporary jobs and are still driving Taxis. So, don't fall for it.
At that location they will provide you with a computer and access to a printer also. You can also use a photocopier and a fax machine if needed.
Also use the local libraries and also a few of the Placements' peoples offices and learn to pound the pavements, or as we say 'HOOF IT' and get to know these centers that will provide you with part time jobs and as a substitute for those who report sick.
Since your original post is very brief and has no information that we can dwell upon and do a good search, I am providing you with the above information which you will find sufficient to get started with, here in Canada.
Welcome to Canada, the land of Opportunities.
AND ...Good Luck.
