I will post under this a few details about what each of these terms mean. That should enable you to distinguish what they mean by these terms that they use here in Canada. If this BMK course is just enabling you to pile up some credit towards a DEGREE,( which is valued every where,) then I would say go to a University and get a Degree from one. Avoid this BMK Course from Seneca College.

Also there are Co-Op courses where an Employer takes you in and you are with them in continuation, that is an internal factor that enhances your post. Also you must become a member in standing with one such associations. Please see in the link..

You also know that COLLEGES here in Canada are mainly into DIPLOMAS. They are slowly branching out into a Degree section and it is slow. I know how George Brown became a University there. The location where it stood was a Provincial Institute of Trade and Technology a long time ago. (May be that they bought the place and became one or Branched out like centennial and became a University, and that needs a little more research.)

All of this is academic, but your question has validity and I am of the opinion anyone who gets into something that does not provide you with a DIPLOMA, then it is a waste of time and money. Also please see the entry requirement. If they are asking you to be a Degree Holder, then, why go for a Diploma after a Degree? It makes no sense to me.

Certificate Programs. :
A certificate is earned by a student after taking a series of courses in a particular subject. Students often earn certificates to get a step ahead in the professional field of their interest, and certificates may be offered in similar programs leading to degrees. For instance, there are certificates in business, literature and technical fields. In some technical programs, a certificate may also be a requirement. {Certified Electrician, Certified Plumber etc.,}

There are also graduate certificates, often taken either alone or alongside a graduate degree program. In some programs, the student may use his or her electives to fulfill a certificate in order to make him or herself more desirable to a potential employer.

Diploma Programs. :
Diplomas are similar to certificates, and they're often awarded through community or technical schools. For instance, a diploma of nursing is offered as an alternative to an associate's degree or bachelor's degree. This diploma program is only offered at hospitals with specialty programs that provide training.

Degree Programs. :
An academic degree can be earned at many levels, including the associate's (two years); bachelor's (four years); master's (two years beyond a bachelor's degree); and doctoral, which is several years beyond a master's degree.

Earning a degree also opens up more potential doors to a student than a certificate or diploma. Many careers require that the applicant has earned at least a bachelor's degree; several career options require more than this.

This is my opinion and please be guided by that.

FH.

I was looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at the Picnic.

The course is full time, so if you are working full time currently, you will have to quit your job or at least go part time to do this course. It can be quite challenging to accommodate full-time work and full-time course.

Even though the course has co-op component but in general everybody does not get selected in co-op. Your success in finding co-op is based on your past education and experience.

Contact course coordinator and tell them you are serious about pursuing this course but you want to talk to one or two previous students before arriving at a final decision. If you working then you can state that as well. Ask them to connect you with couple of their previous students. The course coordinator may or may not accept your request. If it is successful, you will know first hand experience of students who have done this course.
