no dear, basically i am an engineer with 2 yrs work experience in india but i am bore with the regular routine here and very little option of getting fame and money together.
my uncle is very good lawyer in india itself, i was very impressed by him and secondly i deveolp more interest in law enforcing jobs like police or law and these are only jobs that can give me some satisfaction. so i thought of going to toronto police and practice law after few yrs (doing correspondece law or regular if possible from canada or india) but i have applied for immigration to canada so i won't be able to do regular studies in canada(u can't get 2 visa at same time, means i can't apply for student visa now) and i also know if i study law in india then i have to study some more subjects in canada and pass the exam only then will be able to practise.
so the doubt in my mind is that should i go for law studies?
please suggest me if the canadian job market is good for lawyers or not or they also do labour jobs?
and y indian origin people don't like police jobs there, is there any major risk apart loosing ur life on duty?

Okay first of all.. LAW is very different here in North america.
Canada has a host of rules and regulations meant for lawyers and how they pracitise.
As you have a bachelors degree, you are eligible.
Howevre, you will first have to appear for the LSAT program. Then you will have to get admission to a university (in fact my ex uni University of Ottawa has a reputed Law programe). After that you get a bachelors in Law (aka. LLB degree). Can you get a job after that ? Well it all depends on how you build up contacts and clients. I am not sure abt Law, but you have to pursue a "case study" during your degree. YOU will then be placed with organizations, who want to hire students for cheap. That will be your chance to get experience (something similar to Co-op's). Once you are indise, you can maneouvre yourself and get valuable contacts. That may help you rise the ladder.
You may even wish to specialize in some particular field of Law. I am interested (if I ever pursue law) in intellectual property law's. Company's pay through their nose to protect their IPR's and hence you can earn big bucks (a.k.a fame).
How is the job market ? I am not sure. You will have to browse through HRDC sites explaining such details (i.e., placement of lawyers etc. )

be very careful about choosing a career in law in canada. when i was in university in montreal, statistics showed that there "were as many law students graduating as there were working lawyers"(!). obviously, there was a massive labour pool of lawyers entering the market and VERY few jobs to go around.
the lucky few that find jobs do "articling" at a law firm, usually 16hrs a day at C$16/hour.
the unlucky ones try to find a job related to law, immigration consultant, etc.
research the numbers carefully before you commit to anything. having a law degree is useless if you don't work as a lawyer: it cannot apply to much else (unless you want to become PM, of course; they are all lawyers but have never worked a day in their lives).
