I know it is illegal but I was just trying to help an individual who just invested all his life savings but has fallen short of some amount because of no knowledge about the hidden costs in Canada.Otherwise I have personally no interest involved. Thanks and regards

SBI is the BEST. If the recvg branch is SBI, and if it has a SWIFT code, then the task is all the more simpler. Just try to visit SBI once, or even check out their website, everything is self explanatory. Unfortunately, both Toronto & Mississauga branches are off on weekends.

I believe for the first time you have to visit, as they need to ID you and will create a client id for you. Thereafter you may not visit them send them the cheque by mail with details of transfer and your client id #

No, you do not have to visit even the first time. I have used there services earlier and I don't even stay in Toronto. I talked to them on the phone and sent the cheque by mail. That's all that was required.

Hi Garvo/BL,

Please refer to some of the above posts and delete the contact number of Mr. Kamal Raina.

I am surprised inspite of admitting that what he was suggesting was illegal he still mentioned his contact number.

If Kamal and Nikhil are reading this, they may themself edit the posts.

How about a net bank transfer ?????

I mean......log in to your account......enter beneficiary name, a/c no. and enter..........

Money is transferred......gone are the days of queues, drafts, bank off etc.

Half day wasted in bank queue could be probably save you 50 bucks.

What exactly do you mean please? Could you please elaborate? I do net banking and have not seen any facility of the like that you mention. Have you done any transfer yourself or is it just hearsay? I know of "wire transfer" but that is quite different and not as simple as you make it out.
