Hello Everyone
For me to ship wooden kinsize bed, bed-side tables, sofa set (3piece), center table, TV table, Sony TV, VCR, Microwave, lamp, wooden dining table ( 4 chairs) and six boxes of cartons ( clothes, crockery, utensils, woolens etc) is going to cost in between CAD3500 upto CAD 4000. + Clearance, handling. warehouse changes in Canada and drop to Home + assembling at home ( all are flat packed)
Is it advisable to sell these ( I will not get more than CAD 1000 for all these) and buy new in Canada.
If (shipping-salling in Kuwait = CAD 3000aprox) is going to be = new purchase in Canada, then why bother to take and bear the hassle.
Can someone advise
Thanks again
A all wood king size bed and its mattress alone will cost more than C$2000 (there is a juge difference in price between Queen size and King size in Canada). It will be advisable for you to bring everything if they are in good condition. I brought a full container load by paying about US$ 6k and still saved a lot!

In Gulf everything is cheaper. Also bring Iran carpets.

You know you are a desi when ........ You spew forth the virtues of India, but don't want to live there...............You've never had a tanning salon membership
it sounds like a good idea but what if u dont get an apt immediately then you will also have to pay for storage of the saman till u get one. even that might work out cheaper since the items u mentioned are v expensive.
it may not be easy to get the apt. some of the supers dont even comprehend you when you talk as they dont speak english so they are not good with exceptions (like landed immigrants) who have no credit history etc.
thats just my 2 cents.
