Dear Desi's
We are moving in June for good.
I had intially opted for 20 feet container however now I am looking at Air Cargo via KLM as an option.
Air Cargo means putting stuff in boxes and sending same to Canada via KLM Cargo Airplane and will arrive at International Airport. Shipment will reach us in three to four days time. Our shipment will exclude BED, Sofa, Dining Table as Air cargo is calculated on weight.
Now where cost is concered.
20feet container would cost us around CAD 5520 from Kuwait.
Sending via Air Cargo will cost us around CAD 1000 from Kuwait.
any views ? How much will Sofa, BED and Dining Table cost in Canada.

There are some restrictions to send wooden furniture. Please check with your cargo agent.

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
Hello Mr. Chandresh,
I plan to move my household stuff from China (place of my present job) to Canada. The cargo will consist used items and new purchases as well. Please help to clarify;
1. Apart from container cartage cost, any other cost as 'Duty', 'Taxes' etc. on new/ old or both items.
2. The container will reach up to home in Canada or I will have to carry the stuff from (dry) port.
3. How tedious is documentation is? Can I handle it myself or need some professional help?
-Ben
