Rahul Raj, Founder and Executive Director
Rahul Raj is the Founder and Executive Director of Meal Exchange, an organization committed to mobilizing Canadian students to address local hunger. Regarded by TIME Magazine as one of Canada's leading social entrepreneurs, Rahul founded Meal Exchange at 17 years of age as a first year business student at Wilfrid Laurier University. Upon graduation, Raj joined Procter & Gamble and successfully negotiated both his for-profit and not-for-profit pursuits by applying a business disciplined approach to achieve a social mandate.
Couple of days back Inside Edition broadcasted about money that we drop in donation boxes at stores and food courts infact never reaches the needy but help in running luxurious life of those who have found these trust. Their house rents, salaries etc. They showed of a trust where you pay $15 to purchase donation box and whatever donation that comes in the box is for you to keep. Beware of your donation that are dropped, try to donate once in a year to places you can trust instead of dropping penny or a dime at shopping malls.
My preference is Humane Society, they are in for noble cause.
