Hello everyone,
The process of my application was delayed. I filed to sponser my husband from india on 16-Aug-04. After long wait, the CIC finally made the decision on 16-Nov-04 and sent the docments to CHC. I'm worried why they took such long time in making the decision. It was my first marriage. I know that we didn't send the pictures of our honeymoon because I stayed there for only few days. But attached the letters wedding pictures and the phone biills. I just wanna know:
1) How the process will take in India to get the visa stamped?

2)What are the chances that my husband will get and interview? Should I go to India to visit him since we didn't had the pictures. Will they question him about the pictures.

3) I know that application was delayed in Canada, will this again happen in New Delhi or just the normal procedure. When will CHC ask for my husband's passport.

THANKS.

I got married in March end 2004, filed to sponser my husband from india in May end 04. CIC made the decision on June 15 2004 and sent the docments to CHC. I didn't send the pictures of our honeymoon because I stayed there for only few days. But attached the letters wedding pictures and the phone biills.

Should I go to India to visit him since we didn't had the pictures. Will they question him about the pictures.

I dont think you need to go. They did not ask any such questions to him. He had an interview in Sept end. They are just normal questions like very similar to spouse questionaire, they just confirm that what you reply tallies with what you filled in the form, like where you met, how many times etc etc.

3) I know that application was delayed in Canada, will this again happen in New Delhi or just the normal procedure. When will CHC ask for my husband's passport.

There is no set rule, but they might take more time. Bcos technically my husband should have got his passprt after interview in 2 - 3 weeks but it has been 8 weeks instead of 2 ......for no reason or explanation.

THANKS.
