But even in those cases where a plant's life is taken, the pain involved is much less than when an animal is slaughtered, because the plant's nervous system is less developed. Clearly there is a vast difference between pulling a carrot out of the ground and killing a lamb. But still, one must undoubtedly suffer karmic reactions even for killing plants.

More of less pain is there!! Cutting a tree would be more brudal then slaugtering an animal. Because animal can resist or can run to save its life but what a tree will do?:(

And why u consider milk in vege? does it grow on the tree??
U will say v r not killing animal for their milk but still its not our right to take out milk which is for baby animal.:(

Looking at the discussion forum right now, and I can see 3 active topics relating to vegetarianism.

1. (This thread) Is Killing vegetable wrong (sic)
2. Being Vegetarian
3. Beyond vegetarianism

All of the above (and quite a few others) have been initiated by Maxim.

Maxim, do we need separate threads to discuss the same issue? Moderators, appreciate your input.....

Another thought, I don't find non-vegetarians going around trying to propogate their philosophy - why do vegetarians feel the need to do this?

we have enough discussed about being veg in very very popular topic, among viewer(with 51 reply & apprx 1000 viewer) invited by Meghal.

If it makes you happy, good for you, but why did you create 3 new threads.

but i see this topic become longer and longer
because many peoples has doubt, about difference between killing a animal and plants and otherthings, which not directly related with this topic(being vegetarian)

If the topic becomes longer and longer and if 'peoples' have doubts, why don't you discuss that on the same thread rather than creating multiple threads discussing the same topic.

thats why i invited a seprate topic to be further discussion.

But you could very well discuss it on the same thread......would you care to let us know why you created 3 separate threads on this topic during the past 3 hours?!

if you find this is not necessary to invite it than i request you to Delete it
i will not mind
thanks:cheers:

I can't delete your topics, what to do with all of this is up to the moderators.......just asked you why you feel the need to create 3 different threads within a period of 3 hours...

mangos, apple and other fruits, automatc falling from tree when ready
you d,nt need to kill a tree and when crops are ready, the plants r autm dying
for deatails, if you missed topic, being veg
link(difference betwenn Animal & PLANTS)

1... Milk is veg because you are not harming or killing a cow when taking milk

2 ,,some cows producing 10,,20,,40 or more litre of milk in day, which baby animal c,nt drink
thats why if you take some milk from cow is not a sin

please before making critic ,i recomond you to read complete topic
than i hope there will be no confusion":D

Some things in this world is clearly visible which everyone can understand. even a little kid can understand. As u gave example of mango n fruits. but there r some topics in the world like food cycle which needs longer time to study.
Just an examples,
grass/plant/tree
|
|
> vage animals like goat,cow,.. , and human
|
|
> nonvage animals like tiger,lion... ,and human

Now if u take human out of the 2nd stage whole food chain will be disturb. God made this world well blanced so i would say let it go as its going!!
Just image what will happen if whole world will become vege??
- needs for more vage because more vage ppl now
- needs for more vage because more vage for more vage animal because no one eat animal now
- more animal in the world
- more accident on indian roads:D

Probably Canada will introduce bylaw for animal immigration too .....;)

Sad thing is, what about macdonal and similar job cut
- less job in canada
- more people kill people for money
ultimate killing is increasing, why not enjoy crispy, extra chilli chicken burger now itself then contribute to more killing of human :)

U see , I had posted my views on the original thread but now I find that these might have been a more appropriate place or in other words I shd ve place those views here as well.

In order 2 avoid duplicate and redundancy I somehow suggest we stick 2 the original thread ........... they r all similar and otherwise 2 threads are bound 2 b left out ...........

Manasvi.

As I see it, all three topics are related to vegetarianism.

On a different note, I quote from the "Beyond Vegetarianism" thread that you have initiated:

In most religious systems people ask God to feed them ("Give us this day our daily bread";)

You quoted a line from a Catholic prayer and inserted a wink at the end of it. What were you trying to convey?

I know that you are trying to push your ISKCON agenda on the forum. However, I should warn you that if you ridicule other religions or prayers from other religions, I may choose to ridicule you and your agenda in turn......
