Is there anyone here with experience teaching hindi to children (5-10 yrs of age)?. Anybody with any experience in programming (television) for children is welcome too. I am exploring a possible business venture and am looking for associates with knowledge in the above mentioned areas.
If you are located in Montreal...all the better.

My wife has been a teacher/private tutor for Hindi (and for some other subjects for elemantary school students) or over 10 years. She has recently also graduated from York University as a certified elementary/primary school teacher. She also has all the books and worksheets needed to teach Hindi to young children.
For three years, she has taught Hindi as a second language in Singapore, where someone had started a small class for children wanting to learn Hindi but did not have any means to. That school has today grown to more than 3000 strong students and Hindi was introduced as second language in Singapore about 10 years ago.
My wife has the special experience of teaching to a combined class - children from grade 2 to grade 10, who have the same level of Hindi knowledge and so are put in one class. She is therefore able to manage teaching Hindi to different people of different mental age, IQ and general knowledge at the same time in one class.
We have two teenage children - both born and brought up outside of India - but they both speak fluent Hindi and can write too!
We as a couple are seriously thinking of starting some Hindi classes in Toronto - both for spoken Hindi only (children and adults) as well as Hindi as a subject, purely to promote our mother tongue in this western world. If a small place like Singapore could grow from 5 students to 3000+, why can't we do it here, where there are more North Indians than Singapore!!!
Anyone interested in learning Hindi can get in touch with me by e-mail.
By the way, I can teach Hindi too.........I was the chief editor of my school and college magazines and being a science student, scored more in Hindi than in Mathematics!!! I do help out my wife where she gets stuck!
