Where and how do you read desperation - The posters is a new immigrant, and this is the 1st post. All the person is doing is trying to network to get a job, which any new immigrant should and would do.

Desperation was when he replied to a 2003 post.Again you can say that he over looked it and it will be the same chicken and egg story.
