Hi Nishitno1,
Its a good idea to arrange for food as well during the match as that will make it look like picnic as well... the only thing is how to get everyone agree on the menu, cost etc. My suggestion is , form a committee of couple of people (e.g. you and chandreshji) and then you guys decide what to arrange for the food (provided that majority of people say yes to it) and then the total cost per head and the way to collect it before the match. I am in for this. Lets hear from the others.
For food and all ideas are welcome and i have 2 things on my mind
a. A potluck
b.We arrange from a caterer.
Need general opinion on that.
Chandreshjee is really good at allocating these and making menus etc so once we have date venue and people decided we can discuss on these things for now ground booking is on the top of the agenda.

Sucess is not an accident it is a result of hardwork with intelligence.
Am open to both potluck/caterer.
How about someone compiling the choices :
Preferred dates: (June 11,12 ,18,19,25,26) : I prefer any saturday so that i can rest on sunday and be back for work on monday. i.e. Unless people work on saturdays, then i am ok for sunday.
Food: Am ok for both Veg or Non-Veg....
If we have a reasonable number of Non-veggies, how about a barbecue with drinks at the end of the match? That way people can just bring in some snacks and cold-drinks and we could cook our barbecue.
Ground: Any updates? I will try the Cricket ground on Centennial park. Its a beautiful playground with a good background of hill and greenery. There is also a lake in the park. The Permit manager seems to be out until tomorrow. I will try and contact him this week and get the rates.
BTW, I am assuming that i am in Am I ? Can we have a final list of members who have commited or have been selected to be there for the match ?
Cheers, bison
fyi - Everyone who wants till date has been added to be a part of the team and final list will be released once we get the financial commitment from them as well.the number is around 23 now including a volunteer extra.

Come on friends ... lets make this event a special one to be remembered by all the participants and viewers.....
Nishitno1 , Its already mid-may now so you may want to finalize the list of people who has committed. It would be a good idea to collect some money from the committed players as well which can be used towards booking the ground and making other arrangments. Now a days with email money transfer , it should not be a problem for all of us to send our contribution to the organizer(s).
Valuable inputs from CDs will be eagerly awaited.
