In Tornto there are no Punjabi, Pakistani, Indian gangs. Yes in newspaper often Tamil gangs do appear and ocasionally there is a fight and shooting recorded between various gangs. Now what other gangs I don't know.
Usually in schools there are groups (not the gangs) and you will be surprised to know that the groups are usually like this Indians/Pakistanis on one side and Sri Lankan Tamils on other side. The reason is obvious - Language!
I am talking about Scarborough, that is considered strong hold of Tamils.

Try and find out the situation in UK.. Neither side can wish each other away. So what do they do.. Follow a simple rule in Mathematics & Probability theory..

AFAIK, I havent seen such situations glaringly, here in Canada. However, when I came here to Canada, I was "advised" by my Indian seniors as to what "stores" I should go to, what goods I should buy etc., etc. I made my own informed choices though. Dont know any Pakistanis (except maybe 2 in cyberspace), so I am kinda free off such "decision making" influences.
Did you, by any chance, get confused by the Bradford riots , in the UK ? & to be fair, change the title of your thread..

Hi,
I am in UK, and I have not seen any Indian and Pakistani (word Paki is considered racist here) gangs, either in London, or leicester.
Here every Asian is knows as British Asian, so its very difficult to know who is from where, as they have mixed up very well due to culture and language.
I have only noticed the Segregation when a movie comes out that has Pakistan bashing, the Pakistanis stay away from it, even the majority of Indians don't prefer such movies that cultivate hatred.
In "MY OPINION" the Asians in Canada are comparatively more educated as compared to the immigrants who came to UK in 60s-70s, so that might play a good part in getting the next generation who is born in Canada to mix-up and respect each other and integrate into the Canadian culture.

GG, Being administrator, it is your prorogative to remove any thread. But, if you remove this thread you wonn't be fare. We are just discussing an accute situation and contributing our thoughts. We are not in any way talking any stuff about IndiaVs Pakistan.
Idea of creating a interactive group is a welcome step. I work with some Pakistanies but never had any problem even when army of both countries were posted right on the boarder. Although we share our opinions in a very healthy way.

I have never ever heard of GANG WARS between Indian and Pakistanis. (Pl do not type PAKIS). I have many pakistani friends here. Things are very normal amongst us. We discuss the issues like cricket, war, politics, US etc. Sometimes we have similar opinion, sometimes difft. But one common thing I find here is that everybody wants PEACE.
Hope that we manage to keep this place (KARMABHUMI) clean, prosper and show it to our brothers and sisters back home in both countries. Even if it helps them rebuilding the relations between them, it'll be worth it.

no matter what is result but one thing is clear or say BOTTOM LINE IS we love our neighbours and they respect us no matter whats going on back home and surely we are creating examples for our people of both countries india and pakistan.......
to promote this friendship and to teach a lesson to our corrupted politicians that a common man don't want this war WE WANT PEACE and not all muslims are alike we should promote some frienship club where atlease once in six months all canadindians and canadpakistanis get together and show to world LOVE EXIST INBETWEEN HEARTS AND NOT ON PAPERS only and if we guys can live happily here then why can't back home politicians allow us to live like brothers once more and forever.

I didnt suggest that you change ur title to that of a Manmohan Deasi film title 
All I wanted was that you change the word "Paki" in ur title.
Duncan politicans do play a part, but ultimately, we elect those politicians. So in effect we are equally responsible. "PEACE" is a very qualitative term. Unless you can define it, and that too in an Indian-Pakistani context, you have no chance of obtaining it.

Are you aware of the lack of social interaction between "Asians" (HIndus, Sikhs etc.,) and other "asians" (Bangladeshi's, Pakistani's) ? YOu are a better judge for that and I base my opinion on what I know from ppl who stay there, or what I read in the papers ? Leicester vs Bradford etc., I think the anti Pakistani sentiments dont come from Indain origin folks there (per-se), but from mainstream British folks ( a.k.a the BNP. etc., refer to the BBC-1 documentary)
