It is imperative for you to do a thorough research before you decide to immigrate to Canada or any other country for that matter.Once you have gathered a fair amount of knowledge review the various posts at CD ,I am sure it will give a greater prospective and understanding.

hello ppl.
yes. he is right. everyone needs to do research be4 they come to canada. Since i was invited by my son to canada, i came with the security of being with my children and canada has not disappointed me in many ways. but still i feel that this is not a place where everyone can get a job (unlike india and other countries). here you need to be young and in a marketable profession. i see that doctors (medical and vet. doctors) suffer here the most.
Take the eg. of me (a vet. doctor). dogs/cats are universal and have the same problems and yet i find it so hard to get a job (i am 65). i tried 3 dog clinics but the doctors were so rude and they literally pushed me out. all of them were surprised that i even had the idea of asking them to take me as a helper (vet. asst..). I showed them my degree and experience portfolio and they treated my degree (from the univ. of madras - founded in 1860) as a piece of scrap and did not even look at it. they did not know that my univ. was found even before the confederation of canada was found.
anyway, i forward to recive your comments.

I think so too.

Where is he anyways? The vet doctor I mean, not prabhub? Has he been banned?

Speaking for myself, I don't think even prabhub should have been banned. I mean, yes he was posting a lot, and maybe the content was not acceptable to some people here, but I don't think that should be reason enought to invite banning.

DTC, I second your opinion.
I thought I was the only one who felt like this.

Guys, I appreciate your opinions. I'm pretty much sick of responding to why Prabhu was banned, but I'll take a final shot.

Prabhu was warned by me repeateadly not to post nonsense. First of all, there was an acceptable standard of posting that he violated. There were quite a few people who complained about it, both in posts and in PMs. I didn't ban him though, just warned him a couple of times that I'll take action.

Next he signed up as WHAM and BHAVANI. In one incarnation, he was a female IT pro and God knows what he was as WHAM. Now under these IDs, he is actually dispensing advice to people in those professions.

When people ask questions here, they expect some serious replies. They're looking for advice that can help decisions. We don't need people who'll pose as experts in every possible area under multiple avatars and start dispensing fake advice like there's no tomorrow. This ain't no "entertainment at other's expense" site. If you don't know the answer to something or you're not qualified to answer, don't answer just for the heck of it and misguide people.

And that's why he was banned. And so was the vet. This was another incarnation of a this guy posing as someone in another profession.

Anyways, its human tendency to make heroes out of such people and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with banning guys like faltu funda, tranquiliser, maxim, prabhu blah blah (who for all I know may be the same guy).

I have nothing personal against Prabhu or any of the guys I've banned on this site. They may be absolutely right in their approach, but they'll have to start their own websites to employ them.

And that's my final answer. :p

ps - I think Prabhu (no pun intended) in some incarnation or the other is around here. He's truly omnipresent. :)
