With so much hype in the news about the new IM and telephony tool from Google, it will be nice to get feedback from those who have been able to use it.
I have downloaded it but none of my contacts have it so it is too early for me to give any feedbacks.
Those who have used it for IM or telephony, please give your feedback.

How is it different from Yahoo messenger . I could talk to people on yahoo mesenger too . It would have been a BIG deal if you could call Telephone numbers through this and talk

The voice quality is great. The instant messaging feature is quite simple. One main drawback is that it does not have any emoticons. Since this is only the first beta release I am sure future updates will add a lot more to Google Talk.
Google Talk is great in the fact that it does not have any unwanted ads or other useless links. It is used for instant messaging and voice chatting only. It is not a medium to advertise. Something that all of Google's awesome products share.

If you have dial-up- in Canada and Broadband in India it works. But, Broadband in India is as good as dial-up- in Canada.So, I do not know.
