Dear all,
Could anyone guide me on the fact that staying 1095 days away out of 1825 days is a rule, but if I go over the alloted days, what is the consequence.
I landed in may 2004 and am right now in the uae working, but my work contract finishes in October 2007, can I get an extension to stay away or am I really putting my family who are in Canada at risk of losing their immigration as I am the main applicant. Do note that I have made two trips to Canada as of date after landing.
Could someone share some ideas ?

If your family is physically resident in Canada, then your staying out of Canada will in no way jeopardise their reidency or citizenship status. They will each be treated as individuals, who have "done their time" in Canada
Once your spouse gets citizenship, you are safe too, as far as the PR is concerned, but you will have to "do your time" in Canada to get your Citizenship.
