Rahat, I would say please browse the CIC website first. You should find answer to most of your days and years questions.

Also if you click on the link provided and read what is written, it would answer your question as to which "application."

For PR, you must accumulate two years of physical presence in Canada in every five-year period.

Hi there,

I landed in Canada in October 2005 and i got my PR card (a friend of mine courired it to me) i am coming to toronto on 8th October 2006 have i lost my PR status?
This type of query may be repetative but your knowledge will be helpful.
