My family which includes myself, my wife and two sons is a permamnet resident. Due to limited job opportunities, I have to go back to India for long duration. As aresult, I may not able to return to canada for a minimum 730 days in a block period of 5 years. While I may be out of Canada for more than 1095 days, my wife and two sons will remain in Canada for more than 730 days in 5 years.

In this regard, I will require advise of CD

a. Whether the PR status of mu wife and two sons will be renewed after the expiry of 5 years being their living in Canada for more than 730 days even though the principal applicant i.e. myself will not meet the minimum residency requirement in a block period of 5 years ?

b. In future, whether I can re-apply for immigration under family category by getting sponsorship from my wife?

If any CD is able to reply to my queries, I will be thankful to him.

-- All applicants are independant. They will be fine as PR's and also may apply for citizenship when applicable . You will lose your PR eventually and then may have to apply for PR again. You will mostly be deined a visitors visa to canada to meet them ..
