I have seen a lot of Desi academies operating in Scarborough.. They offer mostly Tamil, Music , Dance and Mathematics.. etc..
I guess they r operating privatley.. so an idea of Hindi academy is not bad..

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
Yesterday I visited Laxmi Narian Temple at Morning side. There was a notice for opening of a "Hindi School". I did not give too much attention to it. But it will be opened shortly, next time I will take more information.
Also, I heard Hindu Maha Sabha at Gore Road and Swami Narain Temple are giving Hindi classes. I am not sure about it.
I wonder how many people will be interested in having their chidren learn "Hindi".
If anything, IMO, most people are far more keen to have their kids learn their "mother tongue", and Hindi is perhaps the provincial laguage for only a couple of states.

Finally she settled to do her B ed here and is now a primary/junior teacher which means she is expected to be able to teach all subjects.
Can you give some more details? I know someone who has also done teacher certification as an elementary school teacher from here.
How easy is it to get a regular job once someone is certified? Is it normal and usual to become a "supply" and then wait until a regular position becomes available?
Any other information that you think is useful.
Thanks

A week ago my child got a survey form from TDSB asking parents which second language they would like their child to learn. Choices included Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu.......and other few languages..

Came across this thread while I was looking for conversational Hindi classes for children. Was wondering if anything was started and how to find details of the same. If the classes are conversational, group based, fun and in the Peel region I am interested in sending my child.
Thanks,
