citizenship - i got a letter from immigration office asking for so many details

I did my citizenship test in August and today i got a letter from immigration office asking for so many details eg copies of all passports ,income tax returns,residence questionnaire, etc etc etc.Has anybody gone thru this and why would this be?
Do u have a verifiable residency in canada . Did u pay all your taxes for all years and have employment etc in canada .
What does your E-Cas status say

Everything is o.k.I have paid all my taxes and i have a fulltime job. My e-status says that ihave to go for the test in august.
Did anything happen before,during or after the test that could have made CIC to doubt on your applications? Did they ask you any question that you could not answer satisfactory or any document that you could not provide?
or did you flunk the test?

Don't worry, it's just a regular audit. They do that once in a while. As long as you stayed in the country and have the documents, just send them copies. I know of someone who went thru that, and just picked him from the entire family of 4 who applied.

I dont know how and why but some people have been through this verification . It could be a random check or a quality control process in place to verify or cross check their own way of handling things.
As long as you are legally and physically residing for the required duration and have the supporting documents, nothing to worry. Except that it may cause a 2 months delay for oath. Keep a record of your correpondence
