This makes us nervous.
I am residing in Canada since august (renting apartments, paying all utilities bills, etc), but working for US company in H1B visa in mississauga with salary directly deposited to my Bank in USA.

Last month I went to USA to bring some of my furniture. The US immigration officers at Lewiston- queenston stamped "admiTted in USA in xx/xx/xx", while coming back after 2 days I requested Canadian immigration authority to stamp my passport specifying we are back but they told they can't do that as I am back within couple of days.

Now what happens while we apply for citizenship after 3 years, how can I prove I am back in Canada ...I mean whether information in passport will create any problem???

Kindly advice.
Thanks

In the citizenship application you have to list all your exit and entry from/to Canada. You can show your recent trip as it is. It is up to them to verify the information. In most cases they believe as most of the times they do not stamp the passport while crossing the US/Canada border.

Now in terms of Residency, you can always show you bank accounts, rent slips, bills. If you have childern their school records are strong indication of your ties with Canada.

The requirement says you have to be in Canada 365 x 3 days out of last 5 years before you apply for Citizenship.

You should not worry about this.

Gentlemen,
Following up on Gravo's reply, I think you should physically living in Canada for at least 3 years out of the last 4 years (not 5 years) prior to your application to citizenship for them to accept your application for citiznship.

Having said that, to keep your PR status, you have to be physically in Canada for at least 2 years out of the last 5 years and this is where many people get confused over.
