I am new to this forum and went through some of the postings to get more details about the Immigration to Canada. I have the following questions, would be thankful if someone can answer them for me:

My case - I am currently in USA on L1 with family.

(1) Can I apply for Immigration for myself alone and then invite my family once I settle there? How long it takes to get my family?
(2) If I apply for my entire family, should my family be with me all through the process or can they go back to India?

you should apply with family. we also were in the same position. it takes longer later as you weill need anopther 2 years before can sponser any one and tjhen you will need to prove that you can support them etc.
your family can go to india. when and if you arre called for an interview then have your wife come and give the interview with you. but make sure your paper work is strong . e.g send as much information and proof os company as you can send if the officer is conviced that youe company is genuine. ther will be no interview. paers you need to send are like bank staement of the company, photo copy of company credit card with your name . any company correspondence that is addressed to you. phne bills. basically anything that proves with out a doudt that you are a officer in you company and that the company is genuine. we sent a letter from my husbands boss. inform your company that they should be able to answer any questions when they ccall. because they will. our immigration officer called our office to see if we did exsist
