Hi All,
My brother who lives in Toronto on study visa is thinking of applying for PR from Canada. I was wondering if you guys know what is the procedure if and when you are called for an interview in Buffalo Consulate and US denies you visa to go to the US for the interview. What happens then!!!
Any advice or suggestion wil be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
hi
If he called for an Interview and dont get US visa than his file will transfer to home country. Most of cases people gets visa for Interview.
Disclaimer:This is best of my knowledge. It is always good to ask professional in this matter.

If you want to do something for our country, just dont support corruption or be part of it
7wonders is right that he is likely to get a visa.
In any case, does he have a better option?
I was wondering that if US visa is denied then do they automatically cancel your application and say oh well too bad....
Because if that is the case why to take the chance, might be better to go via home country??
Just thinking!!!
Home country?
You have some patience.
You will be 2XI000000 by the time your turn comes.
My friends had a similar problem, well in their case they could not get an appointment to apply for a US visa and the interview date passed.
They made a request to the canadian consulate in buffalo to give them another interview date. They did get a date but it was 10 months away from the initial one and the consulate told them that this would be the only date change that will done for them and if they are not able to attend the interiview on the new date, the consulate will cancel their application for PR.
So I suggest that your brother should apply for a visa first before sending the application. Because if at the right moment he doesn't get a visa he will end up waiting for a much longer time than expected.
I know I have done the same thing, and I got a visitor's visa so I don't have to worry about that delay atleast.
Cheers
Manish.
