Hello All,
I am coming to canada this week. Just wanted to get an informal list of required documents and other things that I will be asked to produce at the time of landing. If any body can share thier personal experience that would be great aswell.
Thank you,
Abb
Landing papers, settlement funds and list of items you are bringing with you or in future (2 copies) are essential. Others like photographs, certificates, driving license, vaccination records of your children etc. will come handy. Also, be prepared to give them at the airport a postal address in Canada for receiving the PR Card.

Do we need to include funds to be brought on a later date in the list of things to follow. I am planning to come in the 2nd week of April and need to know this.

I hope that you are arriving with funds as stated on cic.gc.ca and on the letter you received from high commission.
List of goods to follow is for goods and does not apply to money.

Hi Folks,
Just thought of posting this situation that a friend of mine had to confront while he drove down to Windsor from Detroit for landing purposes. He owned the car but wanted to import his car the next time around, since he had planned to come back to wind up a few things in Detroit. He was told that " If you are driving in your own car , and enter Canada for landing purposes, you have to include and import the car right then". This is a big concern since even the bridge authorities seem to give different answers for the same question. If anybody from the community help throwing some light on this issue, it would be of great help to members who would be facing a similar situation.
Thanks,
I meant funds other than the ones I bring along to meet cic requirements. Thanks for you help.
