Please, theres always an excuse! This extremist ideology is not dependent on recent history. This ideology is inspired from wrongs going back 100's of years to the crusades and before.

Qayyum Abdul Jamal, 43, the oldest of those charged, was a volunteer in the mosque and introduced Khan, in the process accusing Canadian soldiers of going to Afghanistan to rape Muslim women"

I guess it will be as easy for Mr.Jamal to see that if one can justify the idiocy of targetting people in Canada, one can also justify the idocy of others targetting mosques/muslims OR even the brown population at large. Mr.Jamal can also probably identify with the crusaders who had similar greivances OR maybe the idiots who killed 3000 muslims in Godhra. Hey probably the hindus should get together to 'avenge' the artrocities against them in Kashmir, Indonesia and Fiji. You know? Blow up a few civilians in Montreal even if close to the Fiji/Indonesian consulates. Maybe the Christians should start another crusade to avenge the oppression of Christians in China or Somalia and other Muslim dominated lands. Instead of having the guts to go there(where they'll skin and nail you and your extended family to the post) to carry out the idiocy...let do it in liberal, peaceful countries. Makes perfect sense.
