Hi,

I wanted to know the hiring process of these companies. One of my friend got job offer from them, but they have clause like if security clearance is -ve they will let him go. He can't wait till security clearance is obtained as it usually takes 3 months - years and govt agency is ready to hire him but with that clause.

So atleast he want to make sure if one can get that clearance even if he is not citizen as he came to Canada just 6 months back.

yes one of my friend got security clearance from India, but it takes 4-6 months.
if you donot have anything wrong in india, it came back in 4-6 months they go through interpol.


Are you in ottawa or torotnto? lot of federal agencies are located in ottawa.
I am planning to go to ottawa. do you h ave some idea?

Thanks! i am in toronto and my friend is in Ottawa , he moved from US to Ottawa just 6 months back, prior to moving he stayed for 5 years in US.

Is ur friend PR or citizen, just wanted to make sure they consider landed immigrant also for such type of jobs?
