Friends,
Do you have any suggestion for our logo?
It was initially created by one of my old friend.
Though it is good, it has so many colors make it difficult for printed media.
I am not graphics designer and have not an artists eye, but now we have many members with graphics background. Is there any body help to re-design the logo?
Thanks.

The Maple leaf with the Tri-colour is pretty: but what is the little party hat about? Arent the methods etc invovled in printing 3 colours or more the same? Would removing any one coulor make a real difference?
I think Jake3d can help.

Being an object oriented programmer, I'm inclined to think about the pieces of the logo before the logo as a whole.
I would suggest we think about elements of the logo that symbolize what Canadiandesi stands for and then bring them together, rather than just do fancy artwork. It would be nice if each element of the logo had some meaning to it. e.g., I think the tri-color maple leaf is a great idea, it signifies our state of minds. Although we're in Canada and many of us are already Canadians, I don't thik we'll ever abandon the tri-color, it is deeply embedded into our psyche.
Similarly, let's get input from all members regarding what else we can incorporate into the logo that would define the quintessence of Canadiandesi. We can then have an artist bring them together into a logo that looks as great as it sounds.
Ideas, anyone?

Are you there?
The maple leaf is great but I could not follow the logic of putting a hat on.
I think you should have the new canadian desi logo like a
block crossword with the words 'canadian desi' horizontally and then the
word 'indian' vertically crossing the word 'desi' on the 'd' in our tri color.
I am not a graphic or art designer. It is just a suggestion.
The maple leaf should stay with the same color.
Desi means people from south asia - it is true that most members of this site are from India, but we should not add word Indian to the logo.
