Yes please lighten up, we are not faced with a crisis here ....but in the same breath the situation was bad enough that this introspection is happening.
I completely share the sentiments and concerns of Mishej, GG, BL,Chandresh , Jake. The quality of discussions is deteriorating and needs to be checked.
Every introspection helps.Hope all members, including myself, will heed to the concerns and add value to the forum.

Some thoughts
1) There is NO crisis, I don't believe anyone is saying there is.
2) It also cannot be ignored. Some of the threads are hilarious but silly nevertheless, can't figure out if they're from a 10 year old or a 11 year old. And Mishej India and others are absolutely correct in expressing concern.
3) It can be easily resolved without enforcing limits for every single member.

What you're basically doing is thread-crapping. Whether the stupefaction is an attention grabbing stunt or genuine, only you know. If its the former, you can pat yourself on the back because its working!
Regardless, could you please not post more than 2 posts a day? I have the means to enforce the limit, but rather you self-monitor.
What I cannot do anything about is how much time you spend browsing CD. You're obviously addicted and spend a lot of work time on CD. If you truly have a job like you say, someone sometime WILL find out about this and your job is at risk. And you know this very well so I'll save the preaching. You know what you need to do.
On a general note, we're not a chat forum, but we do get into chat a lot of time. And I've said this several times, the forum is a controlled forum, although we try to limit the amount of control as far as possible. I think with some maturity (and we really have had that from most members so far), all of these intentions can co-exist.
Like MR mentioned, absolutely, we don't want this to be a one-dimensional forum ONLY talking about immigration and jobs. The reason we have so many different sections is we want to project a 360 degree view of the desi community. However, if this view gets consumed by a couple of members and their rampant postings, there needs to be action. That's where the "controlled forum" thing kicks in.

I am glad that the members didnt resort to brickbatting..and this whole thing was discussed in a mature fashion.
I guess thats the best way about it... we all should excersise control (i include myself in this aswell, like chandresh mentioned,yes am guilty too.) But then i agree with Jake aswell, that someone should speak up.
But i do have a request...... can we goof around on fridays pls??? Thats the best day of the week and we should be allowed some leeway on that day atleast.
The kuppaswamy series keeps me laughing all thru the weekend
